Kenn Speiser is a local Providence artist who has gained recognition for his meticulousness in the art making process as well as his sense of humor. He is known for his appropriation of traditionally non-art materials into thought-provoking works of art. Speiser has applied his imagination to materials ranging from garden hoses, to hacksaw blades, to sequins in ways that reveal their many possibilities beyond their intended function.
